Last week, we held a sectoral forum dedicated to the agricultural sector, with a focus on how current support schemes are influencing productivity and development.
The discussion started with a presentation of a draft position paper, which outlined the main challenges related to the existing support mechanisms and the practical impact of these schemes in the sector. The goal was to encourage reflection on whether current policies are effectively meeting the needs of farmers and agribusinesses.
Following the presentation, relevant stakeholders from both the public and private sectors engaged in a productive dialogue. They provided practical feedback and offered concrete suggestions to improve the design and implementation of agricultural support schemes moving forward.
This forum is part of our continued efforts to ensure that policy measures are inclusive, evidence-based, and aligned with the realities of the sector.
