The Secretariat of the National Council for Economy and Investments, in cooperation with the British Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, with the participation of the EBRD and KIESA, organized two discussion forums focused on increasing the competitiveness of Kosovo’s exporting businesses.
During the meetings held on December 18 and 19, the following topics were discussed:
1. The challenges companies face in meeting the requirements of international markets for exported products, with a focus on the food industry.
2. Improving the Energy Performance of Businesses: Access and Certification with Standards.
The discussions focused on the opportunities available to companies and the support provided by the EBRD and KIESA to strengthen compliance with international standards and to position businesses competitively within regional and global supply chains.
Participants from the private sector shared some of the experiences and challenges they face while operating their businesses. Companies welcomed the information and support for implementing international standards, with the aim of boosting exports to the European Union, the United Kingdom, and beyond.
