As part of the public-private dialogue platform, a discussion was held today with representatives of the private health sector, public institutions and the business community to address the main sector challenges and share recommendations for the development of health tourism in Kosovo.
The meeting reviewed issues raised in previous forums and the progress made toward resolving them. Participants shared comments and perspectives on the current status of these issues.
A special contribution was made by Mr. Emrush Ujkani of the European Investors Council, who presented the key findings of the analysis on the potential of health tourism in Kosovo.
In this context, the discussion focused on:
• The current use of health services by foreign patients and diaspora;
• Services of interest to international patients;
• Concrete actions to promote the development of health tourism.
Participants also contributed to the discussion on the challenges faced by private hospital institutions and businesses in the medicinal products and medical devices industry, offering concrete recommendations and readiness for cooperation.
Dialogue and cooperation between the public and private sectors remains key to advancing the business climate and making health services in Kosovo more competitive and sustainable.
