On December 11th, a discussion on the implementation of Law No. 08/L-125 on Public Property was held, focusing on the key changes introduced by the law and the challenges in its application.
The forum brought together representatives from the Office of the Prime Minister, relevant ministries, public agencies, economic chambers, private businesses, field experts, and international partners. Discussions primarily focused on issues related to public property leasing and the law’s specific impact on the mining sector.
Participants emphasized the need for clear guidelines on institutional competencies for leasing public property and addressed practical obstacles businesses face under the new legal framework. Proposals were shared to enable implementation, which will be submitted to relevant decision-makers for action.
The Secretariat remains committed to prioritizing this issue in collaboration with stakeholders to foster a more favorable business climate. We extend our gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions to the dialogue.
